IT and Technical Support

IT and Telecommunications Technical Sales Support — Acquisition support and
feasibility studies. We bring to our projects vendor knowledge of very technical sales
processes for Unix (Sparc/Solaris) architectures. Our experience includes delivering
High Performance Computing (HPC), storage, and network solutions for Goddard’s
24X7 mission requirements to store, process, and move up to the 100s of petabytes
of data.

CASI/STI — “Storage Area Network (SAN)s, and online diagnostic, and
management tools for the administrative core of NASA’s STI program”

		Generated mid-tier architectures for re-engineering document management
		system. Interfaced with the VAR and contractor to ensure quality through the delivery and integration of hardware into customer’s environment.

		Configured and installed fibre-channel SAN diagnostic, and management tools
		for the switch, disk and redundant I/O paths. Won business, and delivered $1M.

MSFC IT Architecture and Integration — "answering OCIO requirements for IT
Planning of Innovation & Portfolio Management Center-wide strategies for the
investment in or retirement of 1006 servers and 459 applications"

		Devised a Center-wide solution for an effective IT Innovation Management
		Program that provides a consistent methodology for identifying candidate information technologies that are architecturally compliant, insertion ready, and effectively managed for risk.

		Developed an approach to allow the MSFC OCIO and its customers
		streamlined application and portfolio analysis, action planning, findings and action reporting through an integrated portal that incorporates a wiki and enterprise architecture documentation to align the application resources of the Center, and would also support the Agency.

NCCS — “large-scale I/O, massive throughput and high-speed networking
requirements”

		Collaborated on architectures and handled logistics for benchmarks to support
		NCCS in their acquisition of the world’s-largest implementation of SAMFS (high performance file system).

		Matched supercomputing data-rates, to configurations based on requirement
		trade-offs for processors, I/O and interoperability in heterogeneous datacenter. Won business, and delivered E15K and file systems, $3M hardware, software, and services.

ODIN Network — “Goddard-wide email, messaging, and directory services
designed to deliver five-nines reliability”

		Assessed and determined email infrastructure needs. Teamed with Unix
		administrators enabling them to meet the CIO’s requirement in a timely manner.

		Proposed solution to meet uptime requirements of 99.5% and provide highly
		available, scalable and easily managed system to support 8000 email users.
